Released in 2000, Outfit was heralded as “positively superb” by the Boston Globe, and glowed about elsewhere, too-- which was very nice. We had fun recording it at the (legendary and sweet) David Minehan’s studio, Woolly Mammoth (in its former Fenway digs). The record was produced by Eric Brosius of Tribe (and now Guitar Hero) fame. Features Matt Magee, Terri Brosius, Scott Rogers, Jim Collins, Greg LoPiccolo. Power pop, we’ll call it.
Released in 2003, Hunker Down featured a more raw sound (in part because Karen was giantly pregnant at the time, and could barely breathe!). This one also featured a different line-up: Dan Jordan and Matt Burke of The Weaklings, and Pete Sutton of Ray Corvair Trio. Let’s call this one um post-punk power pop? Sorry; “Hunker Down” is sold out!
